Harpy/Chimera (ハーピー/キメラ Hāpī/Kimera?) is the seventeenth episode of the Delicious in Dungeon TV anime series.
Synopsis[]
Laios reveals to Shuro that he has revived Falin using ancient magic. Shuro is furious by the use of the forbidden ancient magic, but Kabru's quick thinking puts things at rest. In the midst of this tense atmosphere, harpies attack.. Although they manage to intercept them, a monster with even larger wings appears...[1]
Summary[]
Kabru helps Shuro realise Laios’ only other option was to let Falin stay dead. Whilst being attacked by harpies Falin, now a human/harpy/dragon chimera, suddenly attacks as well and begins killing Shuro’s followers. Laios hesitates to attack her, resulting in Kabru’s death. Falin flees and Shuro’s spell casters manage to resurrect everybody. Shuro blames Marcille and insists that after they kill Falin to free her soul Marcille will be handed to the Western Elven Kingdom for punishment. Laios insists they defeat the sorcerer to save Falin instead and starts a fistfight with Shuro that quickly becomes a childish squabble wherein they admit everything they hate about each other. Having cleared the air Shuro decides to treat Falin as though she died, return to his own country and never come back. Laios still plans to defeat the sorcerer and Kabru starts to believe, with his level of monster knowledge and ingenuity, Laios might somehow manage it. Though this only increases his worries over Laios becoming the next dungeon master. After a meal of harpy egg omelet Shuro’s party and Kabru teleport to the surface, but Shuro also gives Laios a magic tool to contact him with, promising if Laios becomes a fugitive for using black magic he will help him escape to his country. Alone again, Laios and his friends follow after Falin.
