Kelpie/Porridge/Broiled with Sauce (水棲馬/雑炊/蒲焼き Kerupī/Zōsui/Kabayaki?) is the seventh episode of the Delicious in Dungeon TV anime series.
Synopsis[]
Laios and his friends arrive at the fourth floor level. They need water-walking magic to cross the vast lake, but Senshi, who is negative about magic, refuses to use it. Instead, he proposes that they cross the lake on an aquatic horse named Anne (a Kelpie). Laios objects, saying that it is dangerous because he does not know what monsters really think...[1]
Summary[]
Kabru and his party are resurrected by Corpse Retrievers who trick them into believing they were killed by Laios’ party to steal their jewellery. Unaware their jewellery was Treasure Bugs, they decide to get revenge on Laios’ party. On the fourth floor Laios’ party must cross a lake using magic, only Senshi is unaffected by magic due to years’ worth of monster blood in his unwashed beard and instead rides his pet, a Kelpie named Anne. Unfortunately Anne tries to drown him, revealing she has been trying to lure Senshi into the water for years but was foiled by his aversion to bathing. Betrayed, Senshi butchers Anne. Laios and Chilchuck find Kabru’s party dead again, drowned by Mermen. Chilchuck rejects Laios’ suggestion they eat mermen. Laios makes porridge from grain Kabru dropped, Mimic and lake weeds. Chilchuck is furious when Laios secretly adds Mermen eggs. Marcille makes soap from kelpie fat which Senshi uses to bathe for the first time in years, allowing them all to cross the lake with magic. While crossing they are attacked by a Kraken which, due to resembling an octopus, Senshi kills with a merman's trident. As the kraken is too bitter to eat they instead eat the giant parasitic worms infecting it, grilled in sauce like an eel. Laios foolishly tries the worm raw and becomes infected with a smaller worm, leaving him with stomach ache.

Anime Differences[]
- The cooking sequence of Marcille crafting the Kelpie Oil Soap from Chapter 14 was not included. Also the Kelpie Oil Soap was not given a dish portrait, unlike in the manga.[2]
- Majority of Chapter 15 featuring Kabru's Party arriving and traveling through the basement of the Fourth Floor was not included.[3] The only scene to be included was of Laios and Chilchuck finding Kabru and his party deceased.[4]
