Fairies are a type of physical familiar[1] in Delicious in Dungeon.
Anatomy and Appearance[]
Fairies (or Pixies) usually take on the appearance of tiny elven girls with bug-like wings.[2] Since they are made physically, their bodies persist after death and have inner organs and such. They can seemingly be customized based on whoever they're made by/assigned to.[3][4] Their facial features can change to match whoever is speaking into them.[5]
These familiars can also potentially be used as an alternative form to a weapon, as the canary guard Pattadol was shown transforming her fairy into a staff.[6]
Behaviour and Weaknesses[]
The main purpose of a fairy is to serve as a magical communication line: two people who each have a fairy can talk across several floors of a dungeon. However it's unknown how far this 'reception' can reach.[2]
While they don't seem to have any sentience of their own, fairies are shown to imitate the mannerisms and emotions of their owners. [7]
Because they are physical familiars, they can die if their bodies suffer too much damage. They also seem to have no ability to attack others or defend themselves.[5]
