Falin Chimera (ファリン キメラ Farin Kimera?) is a Chimera type monster in Delicious in Dungeon.
Falin Touden was transformed into this Chimera by the Lunatic Magician, Thistle.[1]
Anatomy and Appearance[]
The Falin Chimera stands at 11 meters (36 feet) tall, with Falin's upper body and red dragon's lower body, that has 2 white-feathered wings.[2] From her neck to her lower body, her skin transitions into both feathers and scales. Her lower body is distinctly draconic with 4 robust red-scaled legs and each foot has sharp talons, complemented by a sinuous tail that aids in balance, feather coverage extending from her shoulders down to mid-dragon body to help regulate temperature changes, her wings are large and feathered primarily for slow gliding rather than powerful flight due to their limited strength.[3] In her first appearance, Falin Chimera wore a grayish white tunic, which she then tore off.[4]
Laios Touden believes her heart and lungs to be in the lower body of the Chimera, the red dragon part.[5] He also deduces that the Falin Chimera has only 1 mouth, despite her large body, and, additionally, that she must have a large respiratory tract.[6]

Behavior and Weaknesses[]
The Falin Chimera has the strength of a dragon,[3] the ability to chant spells,[7] and the sapient intelligence to speak briefly[8][9] and follow the orders of the Lunatic Magician.[8] If immobilized, she is still able to use magic.[10] If she is in a area with less mana, she struggles to move, similar to a person deprived of air.[11]
When the upper body of the Falin Chimera was struck in the vital areas of a human, she didn't die.[12][13] When figuring out how to kill the Falin Chimera in 1 blow, Laios concludes the best way is through suffocation.[6]
The Falin Chimera has shown to have a child/dog-like behavior as she plays with her preys and even affection towards her master the Lunatic Magician like a pet: smiling while embracing him,[14] healing his self-inflicted head injury,[15] and attempting to share berries with him.[16]
Culinary Usage[]
The lower portion of the Falin Chimera was eaten to drive out the soul of the dragon from Falin's body, so the following dishes only use the lower portion of the body. The liver and breast meat from the lower portion of the Falin Chimera can be baked and made into a pie.[17] The blood and intestine from the lower portion can be made into sausages.[18] The shank and tail meat can be boiled into a stew.[19]The dragon meat from the lower part of the Falin Chimera can also be baked into gratin, topped on a bowl of rice, and boiled in a cream stew.[20][21][22]
Falin (Chimera) has been used in the following dishes:
