Milsiril (ミルシリル Mirushiriru) is the former Vice Commander of the Canaries, and the adoptive mother of Kabru.

Appearance

Milsiril is an elven female with mid-length pale brown hair tied up by many small gold hair clips. She's covered with many scratches and scars from battle. She's mostly shown wearing a dark blue canary uniform tunic with a turquoise high collar, brown sandals, as well as leather straps tied around both wrists and calves. Though she is also shown sometimes wearing lightly colored robes with some kind of dark sash as well. She's often shown looking away from people and making a gloomy expression.

Abilities

Milsiril is described as being extremely strong, especially in regards to swordplay. She also specializes in some form of familiar or manipulation magic, which she uses to animate her many plush dolls, these plush dolls sometimes function as helpers, carrying items for Milsiril, though they can seemingly also be used for combat.

Personality

Milsiril is infamous amongst the canaries for both her strength and her overwhelmingly gloomy and antisocial nature (She was even given the nickname "Milsiril the gloomy" by those around her). She doesn't enjoy talking with her colleagues and even someone overtly friendly like the younger Mithrun made her feel overwhelmed to be around.

She suffered a lot of mockery growing up, so she never gained any friends (and now has something of a general dislike for other elves), she turned to her dolls for friendship instead, animating them with her magic.

Even though she has a deeply introverted nature and dislikes her fellow elves, she conversely shows a surprising amount of interest in short lived races, especially children, and enjoys taking care of them/doting on them to a sometimes extreme degree. She has also been accused by Otta to only see short lived races like cute pets, rather than feeling genuine love for them.

Relationships

Kabru

"I love him to pieces."

Milsiril is Kabru's adoptive mother, and has been ever since Kabru's family had been killed during the dungeon overflow massacre at Utaya. She cares for him deeply and originally wanted him to stay with her so she could take care of him and dote on him forever, however she relents and decides to teach him swordplay when Kabru voices his desire to become strong and stop events like what happened at Utaya from ever happening again.

She apparently still loves him a lot, as Kabru states that she would probably be able to get him and his companions out of serving jail time if they were arrested by the canaries. Though Kabru also states that while he is indebted to her for raising him, he believes that elves will never be able to understand short lived races.

Mithrun

"Poor thing."

Back before Mithrun became a dungeon master, he and Milsiril did not get along very well. Mithrun made attempts to talk with her and invite her to come and hang out with her canary colleagues, but his overwhelmingly bright friendly aura was too much for Milsiril to handle. She actually admitted to hating how perfect and popular he was.

However, after Mithrun became dungeon master, Milsiril was tasked with finding him, at which point she discovered the warped nature of his dungeon that was, in her eyes, 'made out of jealousy, lies, and feelings of inferiority.' Milsiril realized too late that she and Mithrun were probably very similar deep down, and things might've been different if they had talked properly with each other. She was going to mercy kill him when he was found, but after discovering he had a singular desire for revenge left, Milsiril decided to save him.

Milsiril was also the person who was finally able to rouse Mithrun from his catatonic state by telling him that she saw a demon at Utaya, and goading him into eating properly for the sake of being allowed back into a dungeon.

Helki

Milsiril was likely close to her old fellow canary member, Helki. When teaching young Kabru about different subjects, she used Helki as a demonstration to help explain some things. Milsiril put him into a wrestling hold, the Boston crab, to show the human anatomy and again displayed on his body where the human vital spots are.

Trivia

• Her favorite food is fruitcake.
• Her least favorite foods are beans, carrots, mushrooms, organ meat, shellfish, strawberries, etc...
• Despite her extensive dungeon exploration experience with the canaries, she has never been killed in a dungeon before.
