Sea Serpents (シーサーペント, Shīsāpento^?) are a type of monster in Delicious in Dungeon.

Anatomy and Appearance

Sea Serpents resemble large snakes with fins. They have a pair of fangs at the front of their mouth, much like a snake, as well as a number of sets of fangs inside. They appear to have a long ridged fin that runs along the length of their body as well as two sets of fins on their belly, one large and one smaller. The rest of their body is covered in scales.

Their venom is powerful enough to render a whale unconscious. Any individual bitten will die instantly from a Sea Serpent's bite, so there is no known antivenom. (Kobolds, however, possess strong resistance to poisons and are able to survive a bite.)

Behavior and Weaknesses

Sea Serpents are aquatic creatures. They appear to actively hunt prey, using their venomous bite as their primary weapon. Their movement in water can generate large waves on the surface, causing those on the water to lose their footing.

One method of defeating them is to stun them via the use of explosives and blunt force weapons to the head in order to provide the opportunity for a swordsman to easily slice off its head.

Culinary Usage

There is no known culinary usage for Sea Serpents, though it has been proposed that it may be tasty if simmered with daikon.
