The Island[]
- Main article: The Island
The Island (島 Shima?, lit. 'island') is an island situated off the coast of Kahka Brud in the Eastern Continent.[1]
Northern Continent[]
Located in the northeast of the main setting of the manga, the northern continent is a very cold continent where over half of the island is covered in never-ending snow. The majority of the inhabitants are short-lived races, especially tall-men, but the population isn't large to begin with. It has been strongly influenced by dwarf culture.[2]

Eastern Archipelago[]
Located in the ocean southeast of the main setting of the manga, the Eastern Archipelago is made up of a number of islands. The islands are inhabited by short-lived races, and as a result of a pact, there has been no interference by long-lived races for a very long time. The effects of the ancient war was modest, and they have almost no trouble with monsters or dungeons, but there's constant strife among humans.[2]
Culture[]
According to Shuro, there are constant civil wars and battles between the inhabitants.[1] Rin also mentions that those living in different areas of the Eastern Archipelago may not be able to understand each other's languages.[3] In addition, very few people of the more long-lived races live there.[1]
In Daydream Hour 4, Hien explains to Kabru that in the east, dwarves and elves are hardly ever seen. In the Eastern Archipelago, tall-men refer to themselves as humans and call ogres, "Oni", as they don't consider them to be human. They also believe this to be the case with elves and dwarves.[4]
Cuisine[]
The cuisine of the Eastern Archipelago largely resembles traditional Japanese cuisine.[5] Rice appears to be the base of most meals[6][7] with dishes such as mirin-boshi-style fish, pickles and soup served alongside.[5]

Southern Continent[]
Located to the south of the main setting of the manga, the Southern Continent is home to the largest dwarf city. Gnome and dwarf nations often build down rather than out, and the innermost layers are extraordinarily deep. War erupts quite frequently, and there are never-ending disputes near the borders.[2]

Located in the west of the main setting of the manga, the western continent is the area which bears the most scars from the ancient war. It has many monsters and ruined dungeons, and although it's vast, there a surprising few inhabitable areas. Most of the inhabitants are strong short-lived races and demihumans. Elven culture has a strong influence here.[2]
